Who usually buys BMW?
New BMW owners tend to skew towards males, at least in terms of who the vehicle is registered to. Our data shows that 64% of new BMW buyers are male, compared to 36% female. We found very little variation in the mix of male to female buyers across the different new BMW models. Some say that BMW owners are mostly male and have an average age of 46, ranging from 43 for the 3-series to 51 for the 7-series. Others say that first-time BMW owners can be surprised by things that are specific to luxury or performance cars, or even specific to BMW.
