What was the BMW Z8 based on?
Based on the Z07 concept car that BMW revealed to the world at the 1997 Tokyo motor show, the Z8 is intended to evoke the famous 507 roadster with that car’s characteristic twin-nostril grille and uniquely shaped front-fender vents. Was a modern(at the time) update of the 1950s 507… It is worth mentioning that the Z8 driven by Pierce Brosnan in the James Bond movie was a mock-up. BMW had signed a contract with the movie producers about a product placement of the Z8 – but the car wasn’t ready yet.
